Holiday in the Alps / Vacances dans les Alpes

Our week in Valmorel was lovely -- plenty of snow, lots of sun and even 2 half days of skiing for me. I missed Lily terribly as it was our first separation. She seemed completely fine and happy with Grandma. On the last day Guillaume didn't ski and Lily...

First Holiday - Off Skiing / Premieres Vacances - On Va au Ski

At 8 weeks old Lily is off tomorrow for her first hols to Valmorel in the Alps with Gran and Grandad Auffret. Mummy was given the all clear by her doctor so she may get in a couple of half days of skiing too (with the help of Gran and the breast pump!)....

Parents as Bed / Parents comme Lit

During the day and especially in the evening Lily much prefers to fall asleep and stay asleep on her Mummy and Papa. Somehow even the most uncomfortable-looking positions she wriggles into are preferable to her than her bed - not that we mind at all the...

New cot / nouveau lit

Guillaume assembled Lily's cot this weekend ready for when she outgrows her moses basket. For the moment it is inhabited by all the cute teddies that everyone has given her. She loves lying in it getting to know them all whilst watching her mobile. Winnie-the-Pooh...

Picnic in Parc Montsouris

Summer is on its way! We had a lovely picnic with lots of our little friends and their mothers (and even 2 Dads, Philippe and Clay) today. Lily has been favouring her BabyBjorn carrier over the pushchair recently but today we made friends with it and...

Officially (Half) French / Officiellement (Moitie) Francaise

We picked up Lily's French passport and identity card today from the town hall. Getting the photo taken was like performing a magic trick as I had to sit her (at 4 weeks old!) on a stool and make her sit up, look straight ahead, keep her eyes open, mouth...

First 'Social' Smiles / Premiers Sourires 'Sociables'

Mobile

Lily loves her new mobile which we bought as a present from her great-grandparents, Yvonne and Victor. Her little face lights up as she watches it go round as she lies in her moses basket. Thank you! Lily adore son nouveau mobile que nous avons achete...

Godfather Fabien's 2nd Visit / 2eme Visite de Parrain Fabien
